Incredible Pop-Up trip to the amazing Maldives!
he Maldives is on every diver's bucket list! This trip will be an 11 day - 10 night liveaboard with our trusted Cruise Director Ahmed Shamoon aboard the Soleil liveaboard.
The Maldives is a chain of about 1200 breathtaking islands just north of the equator. They are know for exceptionally healthy hard and colorful soft corals, teeming with large schools of Batfish, Spotted Eagle Rays, Oriental Sweetlips, Fusiliers, Jacks and many others. The Maldives is home to the largest population of Reef Mantas in the world. We will share the water with many types of sharks during the day and night and possibly whale sharks, which also reside in the Maldives. We will keep our eyes open for Napolean Wrasse, Giant Frogfish, Clown Fish and Giant Trevallies.
THE ADVENTURE
Dive sites will be expertly chosen to meet our needs as we have a private boat!
Diving is very varied, from calm and clear to drift dives with moderate currents. AOW is recommended but not required.
We will be diving the reefs, channels, walls, wrecks and Thilas of the Central atolls, North and South Ari Atolls, the South and Thaa Atoll.
We will have three guided dives per day, occasionally four, with some night dives available. All dives will be done from a separate large wooden boat called a dhoni and will depend on weather and navigation.

Travel Information
Arrival: You fly into Velana International Airport (MLE). This airport is its own island, most of it being outdoors. Arrive any time on the November first.
Departure: Any time on November 11. (Qatar has great flights with one stop in Doha from several US cities).
We will be picked up by boat at the airport and brought to Soleil 1.
On board, we will have deluxe shared twin cabins along with 3 meals a day, snacks and tea, coffee and water. Alcohol is available for purchase. We travel overnight and diving begins Day 2.
Itinerary
Our itinerary will be amazing as we have 10 days to sail. This enables us to reach atolls that are less frequented by liveaboards and provide gorgeous diving. Included areas will likely be: North Male atoll, South Male atoll, North and South Ari atolls, Vaavu atoll, Meemu atoll and Thaa atoll!
There is an enormous variety of types of sites, and last time we went every single dive was superb: soft and hard colors with amazing colors, rich teeming aquatic life, Manta Rays feeding and dancing over our heads, Eagle Rays, nights dives with dozens of Nurse Sharks, Mantas, Trevallies and Fusiliers.
