ABOUT US

What it is about for me is meditation, being totally present, quiet, observing the magical under water world and being able to be a mermaid! The peace and excitement (not usually in the same activity!) return every time I jump off a boat into the water.

Little by little, I have been learning about life in the oceans of the world, and the more I experience, the more I want to know and see and understand. I have also had the privilege of meeting divers around the world. We are a diverse group of all ages, backgrounds, interests — with one huge thing in common: reverence and respect for the oceans. These qualities translate into some pretty wonderful people to share time with, who always have a fascinating story to tell and who, by definition, share core values.

What a gift.

This love for the marine world has led to the birth of DiverMojo. Thanks to the prompting of my son, who suggested that perhaps my business skills in leadership and organizational development might be applied to leadership in relationship to something I really care about — like diving — a little idea popped into my head:

Why not consider creating opportunities for divers to give back to the oceans they love, while having unique dive holidays, assisting those who work to preserve the marine world?

Thus, DiverMojo was born to support the sustainability of marine life through conservation dive travel.

Welcome to our world. Please join us and share your reverence and respect for the ocean and your fellow travelers. I can’t wait to dive with you.

ABOUT 12 YEARS AGO, A DREAM THAT I HAD FOR MY ENTIRE ADULT LIFE BECAME A REALITY:

I BECAME A CERTIFIED DIVER.

IT WAS NOT WITHOUT ITS CHALLENGES.

The first time I went into a pool and underwater with full scuba gear, my heart pounded. I felt as if I couldn’t breathe. My chest felt crushing pressure. I was terrified…and I was in 4 feet of water.

All I had to do was stand up.

Thanks to my supportive dive instructor, who said to me, “There’s nothing natural about being under water on life support,” I was able to accept my fears and swim through them.

Diving is now a major passion for me — some would say an obsession.
